Welcome to Lend a hand to the different kids
page - a campaign of an initiative comitee of Association Autism Bulgaria for gathering funds for widening of daycare center for children with ASD problems Duga
(Duga means Rainbow in Bulgarian).
In June 2015, under the guidance of Association Autism and thanks to the financial support of Sofia’s Municipality, a daycare center for work with children with autistic spectrum disorders Duga
was opened. There, psychologists, speech therapists, and sspecial pedagogues work with 25 children at age from 3 to 8 years.The social service in center Duga
is given free of charge.
Our aim is to widen the capacity of center Duga
with at least 25 more places, as well as the spectrum of offered therapies.
Next to the center’s building is an empty place for sale with an area of 140 square meters, which can be used for construction of individual working rooms for the children, as well as to provide space for ergo- and sensor therapy, separate room for musical therapy and premises for group activities.
We need 200,000 leva (~ 100,000 euro) to buy this place, provide its repair and equipment. As we cannot afford this amount of money, we kindly ask you for sponsorship or donation, for which you will be provided with all accounting and other needed documents.
